Hello, I’m Sezin! I am a product (UX/UI) designer living in Brooklyn, NY. I am passionate about creating concepts, crafting stories and building products.

‘Eventually everything connects - people, ideas, objects. The quality of the connections is the key to quality per se.’
— Charles Eames

My background is in fashion design and e-commerce. After a decade of designing womenswear for well-known brands including Calvin Klein, Alexander McQueen and Zara, I co-founded a sustainable womenswear label Pause., where I serve as the creative director.

Consumer trends have changed tremendously in the last decade, from a single-minded focus on the product to a broader emphasis on creating unified and end to end experiences. Having observed this, I began thinking about what makes some brands stand out from the others. I believe that the key to a great brand lies in having a coherent vision, a strong brand DNA and a holistic approach to design across multiple disciplines. So, I started exploring user experience (UX) design and its methodology to complement my skills as a designer.

As I discovered UX design, I was pleasantly surprised by its similarities with apparel design. Design thinking is universal and developing products requires finding solutions to problems with a focus on human behavior and interactions. Both disciplines require empathy, follow similar processes, and seek to balance function with aesthetics.

I am inspired by architecture, design, typography and stories. I love traveling, collecting images, learning new things and practicing self-love. I am a minimalist at heart and have a thing for simplifying things. Let’s connect!
